History

The Benzina company has been on the market for more than 50 years

1949 The distribution network of filling stations bears the name Benzinol.

1958 The name BENZINA appears for the first time on filling stations.
During the following years BENZINA was a part of large corporations, the longest time a part of the Chemopetrol concern.

1990 Detached as an independent state-owned enterprise.

1994 Foundation of BENZINA shareholding company - successor organisation to the original State-owned Benzina enterprise.

During privatisation BENZINA inherited 280 outdated filling stations, most of them unsatisfactory from the point of view of environmental and operational requirements. The first task therefore was to carry out an extensive modernisation.

1995 - 1998 extensive investment programme of restructuring and modernisation of the whole filling station network.
BENZINA currently disposes of the widest network of 322 filling stations in the Czech Republic. Only highest quality additivated fuel is sold at all the filling stations. BENZINA has been a traditional presence on the domestic fuel market for 50 years.

2005 - 2006 a new business strategy resulted in two new filling station profiles: Benzina plus and Benzina. The present-day Benzina thus meets the notion of a modern, dynamic operator of filling stations.
