BA 91 Special automotive petrol

BA 91 Special is a type of motor petrol supplied in compliance with the ČSN EN 228 standard.
This lead-free automotive petrol is designated for older cars (e.g. Škoda 120, Škoda 105, and generally for cars supplied to the market before 1989, such as Zhiguli, Trabant, Wartburg, and Škoda Favorit) and contains an additive for the protection of valve seats.

This fuel has a share of 1% in the octane composition of the motor petrol varieties sold. `Special' is not a prospective type of automobile petrol and the company plans to end its sale in 2010. Customers will be able to use BA 95 Natural in combination with a valve-seat protecting additive for their older cars. The additive Benadit is available at all of our filling stations.

The decline in demand for the `Special' variety is due to the development of the composition of the car fleet towards modern petrol engines that have catalysts and are certified for motor petrol with higher octane numbers and due to environmental legislation (especially with regard to lower emission requirements).

BENZINA filling stations are withdrawing their offer of Special 91 due to the termination of production of this fuel. At this time, Special 91 is still available at 70 BENZINA Standard filling stations.
