EXPRES 24 from Benzina wins 1st prize in PETROL AWARDS [26.10.2011]
The fifth annual traditional PETROLawards 11, recognising significant feats in the area of petroleum, petrochemicals and petrol stations in the Czech Republic, have been handed out to their winners.
Awards were given in five categories (Products, Technology and Operations, Expert and Publication Activities, Personality of the Year and Petrol Station of the Year) on 20 October 2011 in the Hotel Olympik in Prague.
BENZINA, s.r.o. was represented in two of the categories: Technology and Operations and Petrol Station of the Year.
Based on the evaluation of a professional commission, the representatives of BENZINA, s.r.o. went up for the 1st prize in the category of Technology and Operations for the nominated Expres 24 fully self-service petrol station.
“We are very proud of the award because our team worked on the project for three long years," stated Tomáš Čížek, The Head of BENZINA, s.r.o.’s Network Development Department.
The award-winning EXPRES 24, which is located in Vysoké Mýto, can boast of a unique technological solution including, for example, thermovision cameras and a fire detector. It also works on the basis of “green" technologies with low operating expenses. “The high number of visitors shows that the self-service EXPRES 24 station has earned considerable popularity among professional drivers through its implementation and its offer of quality additive fuels,” added Tomáš Čížek.
EXPRES 24 was also awarded the 1st prize in Vox Populi in the same category. Its votes influence the professional public.
