Czech Commercial Inspection: Quality of fuels at Benzina gas stations reaches hundred percent [12.02.2007]
Prague, 9 February 2007. „All fuel samples collected at Benzina gas stations in 2006 complied with the current quality norms." This is a conclusion of the Czech Trade Inspection (ČOI), after a regular fuel quality testing in the Czech Republic. The national average of quality defects in 2006 reached 4,8% of all samples collected at the gas stations across the entire market.
In the period from January - December 2006, the ČOI inspectors collected 2179 samples throughout the Czech Republic, of that 203 samples at Benzina, a.s. gas stations. These 203 samples were assessed during the testing as high quality fuel complying with all tested parameters within the norm. The control focused on all types of car petrol, diesel, LPG and fuels with a bio component.
„We are very pleased by the results of the Czech Trade Inspection control; however it is also a commitment for us. Of course we will maintain this standard in future and our customers may be sure that they will tank high quality fuel at Benzina gas stations", comments Ing. Václav Loula, Director of Quality Division.
The stated data correspond with the results of internal controls conducted at the same time by the Institute of fuel and lubricants (ÚPM). These controls did not detect any defects in the collected samples of the car petrol and diesel.
Based on several years quality monitoring, Benzina received from ÚPM already in 2004 a certificate of the „Quality Seal", guaranteeing the customers that the fuel is regularly tested and complying with the quality norms. Benzina is one of few gas stations chains in the Czech Republic who received the Quality Seal". The quality is controlled by an inspection authority accredited for fuels, the tests are conducted by an accredited laboratory under the complex testing norms.
