Prague, 29 June 2007 - Transformation of the Bochov BENZINA plus near Karlovy Vary which is a part of the largest gas stations chain in the Czech Republic operated by BENZINA was just completed. As a result of that the drivers heading to the International Film Festival Karlovy Vary, to which BENZINA is a partner, will be able to use the gas stations‘ above standard services and attractive look.

The fans of the International Film Festival Karlovy Vary will be able to refuel their cars right before Karlovy Vary at the BENZINA plus not only by Verva petrol improving the life span of the engine and lowering the consumption but they will be able to get some inspiration. As of last May, BENZINA organizes at its gas stations a promotion event where the drivers may obtain an original DVD with a Czech movie selected from more than 60 cult blockbusters. „In addition, BENZINA as the first company in the history presents the series with Maxi dog Fík who, as the main mascot of the „Fík's Film Festival" will present the partnership between BENZINA and the festival," says Veronika Břízová, marketing director of the company.

BENZINA prepares a number of activities for the visitors of the festival, directly in the streets of Karlovy Vary. The main mascot Maxipes Fík will be present in the streets of Karlovy Vary throughout the festival distributing Game cards with 1 prepaid game stamp. Maxipes Fík will be accompanied by a photographer at certain hours who will make a picture of children with Maxipes Fík on spot. Tired visitors of Karlovy Vary will be able to use the Fík's ricksha through the city. The other promotion activities will include for example dance group „Crash Dance", presenting a performance with Kill Bill movie which is also offered by BENZINA as part of the DVD promo event. Crash Dance will present several dance performances on the main stage directly in front of Thermal hotel. A specialty will be the performance of young skateboarders presenting gutsy jumps or jumpers on „seven-mile" shoes presenting the high octane fuel VERVA to the visitors in a non traditional way (they will distribute Verva flyers with a special energy drinks under the private label Verva.

„BENZINA is also preparing presentation of the new design of BENZINA plus gas station sin the form of a 6x6 m BENZINA Plus booth in front of Thermal hotel. There will be a projection of funny sketches from the movies from the Fík's Film Festival offer," adds Břízová.

The transformation of the gas station at Bochov near Karlovy Vary commenced on 9 May 2007 and it was successfully completed in the first half of June. The upgrading of the gas stations fits in the strategy presented by BENZINA last fall. This strategy plans to divide the chain into two brands clearly addressing various groups of consumers. The new premium gas stations BENZINA plus offer top services to consumers requiring top quality and broad range of products. The remaining gas stations under BENZINA brand target the drives looking for value for money.

Karlovy Vyry BENZINA plus will offer refreshment to the drivers in a brand new Snack minute offering fresh baguettes and baked pastry of its own production. The building and the entire background of the gas station is newly reconstructed and the summer patio is ready for the summer season.
